Briggs Anderson - Director of Coaching

I have been playing soccer for 27 years. I have been coaching soccer for 11 years. My approach to the game is simple: be smart, move fast, and keep your cool. Soccer is a team sport and the whole team has to think as one, and move as one. When this is accomplished, it is a joy to watch. I feel my coaching is a direct reflection of the great coaches that have taught me over the years.

My playing experience helps my coaching, because I know I can show the players everything I'm teaching. I have been lucky to be able to have played for 26 years in the following leagues: Div. 1 Youth, Collegiately, USL-1, MASL, MRSL and Adult Rec. My goal with the Idaho Thunder is to help bring the program to one of the most sought after soccer clubs in the area. In doing this, I am working to achieve my Class A coaching license, as well as develop internal programs to aid the coaches in player development.
